Phone Display (rebooting)

When a digital system keyphone is reconnected, it may take several seconds to load its configuration, the display may indicate ----<1>---- and then a countdown until it is ready for use (display of time/date and extension name).

Older (Mark-1) System keyphones may show SUN  0  0 00AM and may click for several seconds when reconnected.

If the telephone system is rebooted (or powers up after a mains power failure) it will take a few minutes to be ready for use - phone display's will show similar behaviour to that described above for a reconnection.

If a phone continues to fail to boot properly after this time, it should be disconnected and then reconnected but this can be the sign of a wiring fault.
