Telecom (Surrey Phones)
are a engineer-led local Surrey Business who specialise
in providing services to the small and medium sized
business – our main customer base is businesses in
Surrey and surrounding areas with between 5 and 50
phones.
We have over 10 years
of hands-on experience in providing communications services on
behalf of other communications companies in both the
small/medium and corporate business market plus
experience in meeting the overseas demands for secure
communications for HM Armed Forces.
In 2005 we realised
that very few communications companies provided any real
service or advice to smaller businesses, which were
treated as minor jobs to prop up the corporate business
sales– This is now the primary market for our direct
business services.
Our
main aim is to provide businesses with
the correct advice about their communications options
and then to implement that advice as much as we can
within budget, thus whilst we provide some very
high-tech advanced telecoms solutions, we also do a very
nice line in refurbished, “easy to use”
phone systems.
What
makes us different from BT and other Comms Companies?

Service
– We actually answer when you send us emails and
whether by phone or face to face provide
straightforward advice. |
| We
do not send our calls to overseas call centres, as
we do not believe that a customer enquiry can be
handled effectively that way, especially if it is
of a technical nature. |
| No
Hard Sell – We speak to customers every day
who have telephone system salespeople in their
office pushing hard for a sale and warning them
about their current equipment.
The bottom line is most salespeople (even
when described as consultants) are not qualified
to advise you on your current equipment, only a
qualified tech can. If you do not need a new phone
system, we will not try to persuade you that you
do. |
| Getting
it Right First Time
– Many companies like to talk about their
planning, consultancy and project management
process, but there is no link between the sales
solution sold and the engineers who have to
implement it on the day, so problems with the
solution are identified too late. Even our
smallest systems are planned in advance by the
installers. |
| We
survey our customers thoroughly so that we know
exactly what we need to do and as a small company
we know all our customers and the exact solutions
to be tailored for them, this is backed up by our
In-House Test Bench so advanced solutions can be
checked before installation. |
| Aftercare
& Maintenance
– Too many times we have seen customers left in
the lurch after installation by companies who
refuse to provide any help or engineering support
unless an annual maintenance contract is purchased
in advance. |
| Whilst
we provide a full maintenance service with
parts/labour warranty, we always support our
customers after installation and also provide a
Pay As You Go service, which is ideal for the
small business who do not often need an engineer
to visit. |
| Quality
Installations with Expert Support - Many comms
companies are now offering 'discounted' or 'free'
installations (watch out for the small print and
contract length), too often this means a
poor installation with no labelling, sloppy set-up
and poor training with a unwillingness to return
to site to correct problems or finish the
installation. ToneTel Telecom believe that
the increased competition in the comms market has
led to better prices for businesses but has also
driven down standards and quality - remember the
adage 'Pay Less, Pay Twice'. ToneTel
Telecom remain very competitive with the ability
to discount in some situations but can still offer
a quality installation and service, it is not
unknown for us to drop out of a list of companies
bidding for a project if we believe that the price
has risen too low to provide a quality service (in
some cases we have been called in after the event
to correct issues not dealt with initially by the
winning bidder). Good engineers cost money
due to their experience and expensive manufacturer
training. ToneTel Telecom back this up with
the right test equipment and a comprehensive
in-house test facility containing all of our
supported phone systems. |
